I am so obsessed with blush on. Although I have collection of make ups from eye shadows, to liners, to mascara,to foundation, to lipstick, I would say that my huge collection are really for cheek color. I have all sorts ranging from the conventional powder blush, the more dramatic cream blush, and even the difficult to apply liquid blush. I'd say that I still prefer the powder type. I like the idea on how you use the brush to add color to the apples of your cheek.

I invest in good make up so as to avoid skin breakouts. I've learned that cheap brands have more alcohol content that leads to skin problems and early skin aging. As a result, I need to buy the more expensive brands to achieve a clearer skin. I was amazed on how some blush have the same shade. And when you compare prices, one is really cheaper and a good alternative to the high end brands, that is if you are only considering the color and not the overall effects to the skin.

I am so in love with Nars because their products are very much pigmented. It is pricey but worth every . centavo. My first Nars blush is Angelika. It is a soft pink shade with silver pigments. I love how it combines the sweet pink color to the gorgeous white-silvery glitters. A dupe for this shade is Elf's Fuchsia Fusion. It is also a pretty shade of pink with silver highlights. Both are well pigmented and adds a beautiful color to your cheeks. I have both and going gaga over those gorgeous

blushers!

The packaging are almost the same except for that little transparent rectangle for Elf and the rubbery feel for Nars.

The mirror is bigger with Nars. Both has a plastic covering just like with any other brands.

The one on the left is Fuchsia Fusion and on the right is Angelika

The one from Elf is lighter,almost a pale Pink and Nars is like 2 shades darker.

Rustans is the distributor of Nars. Each powder blush is sold at 1,450Php. Elf is distributed at any SM department store and each powder blush cost 249.50Php.

Urban Decay Book Of Shadows IV Review

This is my very first Urban Decay and I am really excited to to do a review of this eye shadow palette. Book of Shadows IV is a limited palette consisting of 16 gorgeous eye shadows, a travel size mascara in black, water proof black eyeliner in Perversion, primer potion in original, and a speaker.

Before we discuss further the contents, let's talk about the packaging first. It comes in a sturdy box. When you flip open, the first thing that will captivate your eyes are the butterflies. I love butterflies and of course was happy that it was filled with these beautiful creature. It also includes a mirror so you will guided on how you look. Now to help the newbies in creating different looks, Urban Decay also included 5 QR codes that leads to a link of a useful video from purple cat's eye to naked and everything in between.

The eye shadows are enclosed in a pull out drawer type of box. Let's start with the primer. This little potion does wonder and keeping the shadows in place the whole day. I used it in the office and it stays in place even when I arrived home. The mascara is also good in achieving thick lashes. Although other brands will stand out but this one can also make a statement. The liquid eyeliner is heavenly good. It's difficult to apply at first but the good thing is that it can last for long hours without smudging.

There are a lot of good things that I can say about this palette but let me list down some of the aspects that can still be improved. First, the packaging is so bulky. Obviously you can't bring it with you since it will take up too much space of your bag. Second, I think the speaker is really cute and this caught my attention but for make up lovers it will be more meaningful to include something useful like a mirror or perhaps a blush. Lastly, the color selection could have been better if they stick to pigments that one can really use. Having one shade of Purple is fine but two or three is more than enough. What they can do is have one shade of blue, purple,pink and other rarely used colors. The palette can have as many neutrals as possible as we used it everyday. Aside from these points, I can say that everything is good.

Review: Nars Blush In Desire

I love blush on and the glow that they give to your cheek. I just name one brand as I have a lot of favorites. My current favorite is Nars in Desire. This is a matte pink powder blush that gives you a Barbie Doll look. It looks so pink in the container but you can control the intensity of the color once you apply it. Nothing really special about this blush. I just love the matte finish that is different from all the shimmery colors that Nars has to offer. Just like all the other Nars' blush this one is super pigmented. Dub a small amount using a nice brush and blend as much as you can or you'll end up looking like a clown.

I love Hello Kitty! I mean who would not adore a cute kitty that looks so girly. Hello Kitty has truly invaded the world and most importantly captivated the hearts of the people. It is evident in the things where the icon of Hello Kitty can be seen. To name a few were rice cooker, radio, microwave, toaster, guitar, car and even a Hello Kitty house. Wow! I would want to have my own Kitty house. I bought a lot of Hello kitty stuffs in Gift Gate when I was in a little girl. I was lucky to have a box filled with hello kitty as mom was based in Japan back then. I remember all my things were Hello Kitty and were all pink. Now as I grow older, my passion for Hello Kitty is still very much alive. Except that I have to choose thing that would fit my age, otherwise I will look like a trying hard kid.

I find this glasses really cute. I checked with Rayban and I don't think they carry this item so I assume that this is a make-believe Rayban Hello Kitty. I am dying to have this. I don't care if it's not branded I just find it so cute. Have a look and tell me what you think about it.

2011 has been a tough year. I encountered so many challenges but I faced it with all my might. Some of the battles were won and few were lost. And yet I am very positive that everything will be fine. Sometimes it takes just small spark of hope to make everything work. You jut need something or someone that will push you to do better.

Now another year is given to strengthen things, to correct mistakes, to engage in new adventures, to forgive & to forget, to dream & make it real and to love & to nourish.

My goals this year includes more time with Wynn. I wanted to see how he grows up and how fast his development is. I also want to stop or at least lessen my vices. It may be part of our social life but it would not hurt if we also think of our health. I also want to continue blogging. It might be something that I've neglected for some time but I will always have the writer in me. Hopefully I can do more product reviews for make ups and other stuffs.

My life is way too ordinary. Although I'm a self confessed spoiled brat, I've never done any major boo boos in my life. Or at least none that I can think of. It would be too much to say that I've been a good girl all my life but I have lived my life in a very old fashion way. And why not? It feels good to be the teacher's pet because I was a diligent student back then. I love the attention given by friends and relatives for being such a role model that they look up to. I was adored not because I am a lovable partner but because I am obedient enough to digest whatever they feed me. I was brilliantly silly a few years back. It was easy to abused me because I give in. I was passionately stupid about the things and people that surround me. Until I got bored. Really plain bored with life. When? Just now, when I realized that I was missing a huge part of myself.

I give what I can in whatever I do, be it a job or a relationship. I never push through if I feel that I am half-hearted. It's either I give 100% or I don't give at all. The "All or None" principle is the basis of most of my actions. But now, I want to be selfish. I want to spoil myself some more. I want to feel numb, be stubborn, and be free. Free from the ill judgment of the society as well as my own judgment. I want to give myself a chance. A chance to embrace changes with open arms. A chance to explore and learn. And a chance to let loose and be wild. Being modern, open minded and liberated are almost synonymous which has a negative meaning in most cases. Being free spirited, strong, bold or whatever you may want to label it is something that I want to experience doing. If being wild means trying the extraordinary and not being afraid of challenges, then I want to be branded as one.

I do not know if it's the thrill that I am after or just the feel of it or maybe both. What I'm certain at this point is that I want to allow myself to grow more. At my age, not even the hardest slap in the face will give me life's greatest lessons but experiences. I demand actions and I want to be involve. Just like in any subject or even a job, it's not the lecture that gives you learning but the hands on training. You may know it theoretically but it's how you apply the learning in action that counts.

I don't even know where and how to explore the reality of life. And no one is suppose to teach me because right now I want to use my heart instead of my mind. Sorry mind but I've trusted you hundred of times before and it's about time to let heart lead me now. I want to be crazy! Yes crazier than how I am right now!

I may sound bitchy and nasty but don't point a finger on me. Not just yet. Most of you have lived your life the way you wanted it to be. Majority of you have been a pain in the ass but you enjoyed being labelled as one. Allow me to see the real world without deception just as I am allowing myself to dive in a world of uncertainties and cruelness. I know that people who live in lies are very much eager to pass their judgment on me. And to satisfy all the critics, I am giving my consent to trash talk as much as you can. You can do whatever you want. Have your say but I won't even look back to give a shit.

I am now taking control. I will do whatever pleases me and I will enjoy this trip. As a passenger it was nice to see how others lived their lives and how bitter-sweet endeavors have molded their personalities. Now I want to be the driver of my own self, totally in control but with bigger responsibilities. Wherever this journey takes me, I will cherish and move forward.

Don't hate me for being brutally frank, but instead love me for coming out in the open and not depriving myself of what our world has to offer. There must be something larger than life. And I won't regret, I will just learn.

I always admire mothers who are very caring about their children. My perception of motherhood before is full of hardships and challenges. I never thought that sleepless nights will be this fun. Labor pains were the worst pain ever! After more than 12 hours, my doctor finally decided to do a caesarian section because my cervix would not dilate. I love to eat! I like the idea of going to different places to have a taste of their specialty. I had lunch the other day with my hubby and a good friend of ours. It's a cafe located in Marikina. The food is really good and very affordable. We ordered pasta in white sauce and it was very tasty. We also have pizza. I am a big fan of thick crust pizza and this one is really good. For the drinks I ordered raspberry mocha. The sour taste of berries and the bitter taste of mocha compliment each other and the result is a delicious drink! For the dessert, I had chocolate cake. The cake is not too sweet and as soft as a sponge. It has dark chocolate toppings which I absolutely love! My rating for this restaurant for the taste is 5 and another 5 for the price. It's a must try for all food lovers out there.

The thought of having a baby really makes me excited! In two months time, I will be a full time mom! We have a congenital scan this week and luckily there were no deformities or abnormalities found in our baby.

I am really excited to see my baby. We bought some baby clothes and they all look so cute! We are expecting a baby boy and we are going to name him Zachery Wynn. Zachery means "the Lord recalled" and Wynn means "holy, blessed reconciliation, joy and peace, fair, pure".

Ingredients’:

500 grams noodles

1 cup Basil leaves,chopped

1 glove of minced garlic

1 onion, diced

1 can of mushroom

1 can of spicy tuna

Black olives (optional)

¼ butter

¼ Grated cheese

Salt and pepper to taste

Cooked noodles as per packaging instructions. Now for the sauce, first sauté garlic using the butter until golden brown then add onions. Add mushroom and continue to sauté for 2-3 minutes more. Add the canned spicy tuna. Then add the chopped basil leaves. Add the cheese. Put the sauce in the noodles, tossed until the sauce is equally distributed to the noodles. You can add black olives and top with more cheese. Happy cooking!

I'm looking at my old post and memories of yesterday was made fresh again. Honestly while I was reading my entries I felt the sadness of all the trials that I encountered. But on top of that, I felt really proud of myself that I was able to survived all those trials. It's nice to keep a blog and read it after sometime. It makes me wonder how I was brave enough to stand up again, compose myself once again and start a new life. I'm saying to myself outloud " nakaya ko lahat un!"

I just got out of the hospital 2 days ago. I was confin

ed for 3 days. The ambiance and the smell of the hospital made me feel weaker. I was diagnosed with PVC (Premature Ventricular Contractions), something related to the heart but can't push through with further laboratory test because of

my current situation. Thanks to my hubby who took care of me while I was confine in the four corners of that hospital. Aside from a lot of blood extractions and lab exams, nothing exciting really happened. But I want to share a picture with you guys of something that really made me smile. I had to go through series of test to diagnose my condition. I was brought down in the heart station and when I went back to my room I saw this kaCORNihan which is super sweet...

This is my surprise for our 1st monthsary. Hindi alam ni hubby na makakapunta ako sa gig nya kse alam nya may pasok ako pero ang totoo naka leave na ako. I had this personalized donuts that says HAPPY MONTHSARY for my surpise. Sabi ko sa waiter iabot after ng first set ng gig nila... After receiving the donuts, hubby called me saying thank you...After we talk, I showed up in front of him. It was a very memorable night because that was our 1st mothsary...more monthsaries and anniversaries to come.

This one is my valentine surprise for my hubby. As usual ang pres release ko ay di makakapunta sa gig nya kse may pasok, again naka leave na ako nito. After the 1st set, I asked his bandmate to sing Grow Old With You,acoustic style so hubby need not to perform. Hubby was comfortably watching knowing that it was a special request. This post is way too late for Valentine's but let me share the sweetest things a guy has ever done for me. I was in 4th year college and there was this sophomore guy who was very eager to win my heart. Actually I was in 3rd year college when he started courting me but since I was in a relationship that time, all I can offer to him was friendship. A year after, he was still exerting much effort just to be his girlfriend. It was Feb of 2005 when we had job fair in our school. After the seminar, a girl approached me asking, "Di ba ikaw si Paula?". Then she accompanied me from 4th floor down to the grounds of our school. From the 4th floor down the ground floor, people were giving me red roses. I was so surprised! Most of them I don't really know personally. Then finally we were able to reach the school ground and after receiving more than 2 or 3 dozens of red roses, that guy gave me the last rose which is white in color to symbolize purity of his intentions. After the Christmas party, we went straight to work. Then after shift me and my good friend Gerry went to World Trade Center since it was the last day of the bazaar and we just don't want to miss this chance to buy more stuff at a lower price. It was a tiring experience since we have been awake for more than 24 hours but it was fun. There are a lot of cheap items like blouses and shirts, colorful accessories, funky shoes and a lot more. As usual none of the shoes fit my super tiny feet...grrrrrrr...So I just bought 3 blouses and one shirt. Sorry guys I wasn't able to capture a lot of photos because we are so tired.

Persian Foods

I love Persian dishes. I love shawarma, kabab, hommus, beef masala and biryani rice. I usually go to Mister Kabab or Kabab corner whenever I crave for Persian foods. When I went to Recto probably 2 weeks ago, I was surprise to see authentic Persian restaurants. Wow! It was the best chicken kabab that I have tasted. And as if Manila was just near Q.C., I would go all the way from my place to Recto just to eat chicken kabab from Sama Restaurant. The travel was worth it because the food is really good and very cheap like 60 pesos for the chicken kabab. Try it guys it's really good. .

Last week me ad Sherwin went to Kabab Corner which is way nearer my place. I tried the chicken kabab although it wouldn't measure up with the one they serverd at Sama Restaurant, I would say it is also good. Here are the pictures, enjoy!!!

Typical Friday Night Gimmick

Last Friday, December 11 was a fun night. Inuman sessions at night are more of a luxury than a privileged for me since I am working on a shifting schedule. So whenever I have the chance, I always make sure that Friday will be a fun filled night. December 11 was a typical Friday night gimmick that I don't really experience every so often. I'm with my friends and had a lot of yummy foods, more stories and beer drinking sessions while a live band was playing really good music. The band reminds me of Eraserheads. I was impressed because they can play all types of music. From Lips of an angel, to I'm yours, to Alapaap and El Bimbo and the ever popular Nobody and Banana...haha! I so love it! I just hope I can do it often. Anyway, I had so much fun with you guys!

This is just my 2nd time to go to Converse megasale. The 1st time was 2 years ago and was very frustrating because I was there on the last day of sale so as a result, big sizes were the ones left and size 5 (size 3 for chucks) were all gone. But this year, I felt so lucky! Iwas there on the 2nd day so you can just imagine how many size 5 are there. They all look so cute!!!I wanted to buy 6 pairs but since I need to save for the holidays I opted to buy just 2 pairs. The experience was nice because I was able to mingle with a lot of of Chuck Taylor addicts just like me. And the price is really low, between 40-70% off. Not bad. Allow me to share the photos with you guys.

I once ignored this place due to the belief that they only serve pastries. Truth is they have a lot of mouth watering dishes that will surely satisfy everyone's craving. It was introduced by a friend. I still remember that we ordered Fettuccine Jacintha and Tuna sandwich and homemade ice tea for our drinks. And the verdict? It's a perfect ten for the taste. I am really a fan of pasta and this is one of the best in town plus the pesto bread that comes with it is also very delicious. The Tuna sandwich is perfect for those who are health conscious. It comes with potato chips and the serving is really big so it can be shared by two persons. The cakes look very sinful. One of my favorite is Myster-Reese's Wicked Pie that comes with a lot of my fave Reese's chocolate. One of their best rice meal is the barbecue ribs, serve with buttered carrots and corn. The last time I went here, I ordered Chicken Breast Parmigiano and it was also good. Imagine a breaded chicken breast top with salsa and a lot of melted mozerella cheese with buttered carrots as side dish...it was really yummy. Well, overall I can rate Banapple 4 thumbs up. The foods are all delicious and are sold at very reasonable price and the serving is big enough for two. The only downside is that the place is quite small. Maybe because the owner did not expect that a lot of people will like it. Maybe it was sort of an experiment. I was expecting a bigger place for their 2nd branch though but it was pretty much the same.I hope it gets bigger because it is always jammed pack with a lot of people.

These tickets are the only things left from that 6 year relationship. The 1st concert that we've seen was Mariah Carey's Charm bracelet tour held in November 16, 2003. Since I am Mariah Carey's number 1 fan, we also watched Mariah's movie entitled Wisegirls and that was March 26, 2004. I wanted to get rid of every memory and moments that we had. But I can't let go of these two tickets because it was very memorable to me and if you are a fan, I'm sure you will understand where I am coming from. How I wish that I can completely erase all our memories. I wish my memory can be washed out by heavy rains. But I can't...I am not hoping for a 2nd chance nor do I wish for us to be friends. I am craving for peace of mind. I wish to have the happiness that I well deserved. This heartache is synonymous to thyphoon Ondoy. Hopes and dreams were taken in just a snap. I was left empty handed. I was almost lifeless, and though I was not literally in mud, everything was in mess. This is the biggest storm that hit me...My entire well being is still in a state of calamity...

I was looking outside through the glass window in the office at around 10:00 A.M. last Saturday morning. I've notice that the rain was pouring so hard and vehicles were not moving. When it was time to go home, I decided not to take EDSA and headed towards Ortigas Extension. I was planning to get a jeepney ride at I.P.I. going to Pelaez. When I was in Libis, I noticed the heavy traffic then a woman probably in her late 20's said that they have been stuck in that place for 2 hours now. Since we are headig the same direction, we decided to walk. At first the water is only touching my ankle, I felt it wasn't a big deal to walk. But I noticed that the flood is getting bigger and bigger. The highest level was up to my waist. It was so difficult to walk especially that the rain is pouring so hard and the current is so strong. I have no choice so I continue my journey. That was the first time that I experienced leg cramps. Super sakit mapulikat!!! I wanted to stop in the middle of the water but I can't since I can feel that the flood is getting bigger not to mention the cold rain. That was were I had my walkaton-in-the-rain-session last Saturday. That was taken in Libis, Q.C.

I was amaze with the desposition of every Filipino. Sa gitna ng baha at ng bagyo, lahat nakangiti habang naglalakad. It seems everything was normal. Alam mo yon parang ang mga tao sumasali sa extra challenge, talagang full of energy and with high spirit. Iba talaga ang pinoy. At nagawa pang i-video at magpicture sa baha, syempre pati ako nakipicture din for blogging purposes naman.

After hours of walking, I was finally in Q.C. and it felt so good to be riding in a taxi after a super stressful day. That was the first time that I had to walk in flood. I hope that would also be the last.

*ice breaker of the day-when i went home, I went to the comfort room to get a good and long shower. I was devastated when the water running through the faucet is so scanty in amount. I shouted "Ate tubiggggg!!!!". Then our helper replied back, Pau wala...BROWNOUT ang TUBIG...hay ate you made my day!!!hehe!!!nag pa-igib na lang ako ng pangligo kay ate.

Its was actually a 3 part celebration for my 27th birtday. I had my first celebration with my tita and her friend on September 15 and we had lunch at Banapple. Last September 16, I had dinner with my special someone and we watched a live band. Then on September 17, me, Sherwin and Lala went to Red Box for lunch and some singing sessions. Well all I can say is I am still in the process of moving on. There are still times when all I want to do is cry. There were times when my eyes started welling up and tears fell down from my eyes even at public places. It's like a post traumatic disorder that distracts me every now and then. I just wanted to have an amnesia to suppress all the pain that I am still experiencing. I don't want memories of him,good or bad. So I deleted him in my social networking accounts. I clean up my room and throw everything that would remind me of him. Pictures, letters, gifts, scrap books, concert and movie tickets found their new place in the trash bin. There is no use in keeping those stuffs because everytime I see them, I feel lost and the pain is so intense that I just wanted to get away with it. It's like adding insult to the injury so instead of keeping all those things, I decided to get rid of them. Seeing there pictures in FS is *^#$%@!!~. I can't find the adjective that would best describe the pain, the bitterness and the betrayal that I felt. I was staring at my monitor, frozen for a moment. That was too much to digest. All I wanted is to see him happy even if I am not the special someone who makes him happy. But I am just human. It's not that I don't want him to be happy, it's just that I am still in the pool of loneliness. I really did my best but I guess it was not good enough to make him stay. I was left with no alternative but to move on. And I am doing all the things just as so I can feel better the soonest possible time. Pero bakit ang hirap?

Hay! Sobrang I'm really not feeling good. Minsan napapagod na ko umiyak pero parang hindi maubos yung luha sa mga mata ko. Sobrang masakit pa din. Gusto ko magalit, gusto ko magwala, gusto ko sumigaw...Lahat gagawin ko mawala lang lahat ng galit at sakit sa puso ko. Ang daling sabihin na "Life goes on" na madami pa dyan pero mahirap gawin... Mahabang panahon ang anim na taon. Sapat na panahon para mabuo lahat ng mga pangarap namin. Naaalala ko pa noong mga panahon na walang wala kaming pera, magkasama pa din kami, masayang nanganagrap at nagpapalitan ng pangakong walang iwanan ano man ang mangyari. Ayaw ko naman maging bitter pero bakit ganun dahil ba may nakita na siya itatapon na lang ako ng ganun ganun diba? Parang wala kase akong kalaban laban. Nandito ako sa Pinas umaasa na kukunin nya, umasa sa pangako nya na pag maayos na sya doon kukunin nya ko at tutuparin na namin yung mga pangarap namin. Buo ang loob ko na mangyayari lahat yon. At kahit may mga panahon na lungkot na lungkot ako, ang pangakong magkakasama kami ang bumubuhay sakin at nagpapalakas sakin. Dumating ang panahon na bihira na siya tumawag at mag text. Sa text nag try din ako, sa email pati sa friendster. Pero wala bigo ako. Sumagi sa isipan ko na baka meron na siyang iba, pero mas malakas ang paniniwala ko na hindi nya ko kayang saktan. Alam kong nalulungkot sya doon pero hindi nya ko kayang lokohin at hindi nya ipagpapalit ang lahat nga mga nasimulan namin. Noong sinabi na nyang may iba na sya, hindi ko alam kung paano ito tanggapin. Inisip ko noong panahong yon na nagbibiro lang sya, pero hindi. Natapos ang usapan at pinanindigan nyang may iba na sya. Aug 10, tumawag siya para sabihing meron na siyang iba...Hindi ko alam kung ano ang magiging reaction ko. Hindi ko alam kung paanong iyak ang gagawin ko. Ang alam ko lang sobrang masakit. 6 years din kami magkasama, maraming oras ang pinagsamahan, maraming pangako ang binitawan at maraming pangarap ang nais tuparin. At sa isang iglap, gumuho ang mundo ko. Hanggang ngayon hind ko alam kung paano tatanggapin at kung paano ako muling babangon. Madalas hindi ako makakain, hind makatulog at kung makatulog man, nagigising sa gitna ng gabi, lumuluha at nagtatanong "BAKIT?" Minsan hinihiling ko na sana bangungot lang ito. Sana pagsubok lang. I remember posting an article here on how to survive a break up and the funny thing is hindi ko sya magawa sa sarili ko. Masakit...I can't find the words that will describe the current situaton that I'm going through...Hindi ko hinhiling na makita pa si MR. RIGHT. Sana lang mapatawad niya ako, mapatawad ko siya at maka pag move on na ko. Hindi na importante kung sino ang may kasalanan. Sabi nga nila, "It takes two to tango" and I believe that both parties have flaws and shortcomings that made the relationship fail. Honestly I am still hoping that things will work, sana kaya pa ma save kase hind rin biro ang pnagsamahan namin...

Embracing God's Gifts

Most often than not, when we are given just a simple problem, we felt that it was the end of the world. We felt that we are worthless & incapable of doing great things. The other day while I'm in the office, one of my friend was holding a book by Bo Sanchez entitled Don't Worry Be Happy. Just to kill boredom, I tried to scan the pages and wasn't really expecting that one article can really touch my heart. It was indeed very inspiring. One of the articles was about Jessica Cox, a Fil-Am who was born without arms. If you were in her place I'm sure that you'd feel helpless and maybe you can't perform activities of daily living alone. But Jessica was simply amazing. She did not allow her disability to ruin her inner self. You'll be surprise to know that she can put contact lens, she can drive, play the piano, and text using her feet. And if I remember it right she's also a black belter in taekwando Amazing right? And to top it off she was named the first pilot with no arms. When I read this I felt creepy and scared. But when I finally saw the video I was amaze, not just because she can perform all the activities with no arms at all, but more importantly I admire her faith to God and strength to overcome her fears and to do things that not even normal individuals can do. Funny how we complain of simple muscle cramps when there are people who doesn't even have legs or arms. Moral of the story is to be contented and thankful for all our blessings. We should not ask for things that we don't have but instead we should embrace things that we have. It was one of the stories that I would surely treasure and would want to tell to a lot of people so that they can feel how special and lucky they were. There maybe a lot of trials but being physically healthy is incomparable to any gem. God, I thank you for giving me all my senses. I felt really lucky that I was born without any physical defects and serious illness.

Hey! I'm back! I miss my blog! Sorry I've been busy lately that's why I wasn't able to update my blog. I was busy finding a new account with Convergys because my current account is ramping down. Luckily I was able to find a new account and starting August 3 I will have my new account in Ortigas. I was also busy making fashion earrings...I can't believe that I'll earn money with this accessories. It all started as a hobby and for personal use. I love chandelier earrings. So one time I went to Divi to buy materials to make my earrings. And since I can make a lot with the materials that I bought I decided to sell the earrings. And now I also have orders and some were even asking for a necklace and bracelet to match the earrings. I'm selling the earrings at 35Php and the cheapest were sold at 10Php. I'll be posting the designs here in my blog. I might also create an online shop to cater to more customers. Fellow kikay girls would surely agree when I say that accessories can make or brake an outfit. A plain t-shirt matched with a chandelier earrings, colorful belts or oversize bangles can do the trick. On the other hand you should also know when to minimize accessories because it may look exaggerated with certain outfits or if you pile necklaces or bracelets. With this business you have to inject creativity with your products because clients have different taste. With the products that I am creating I make sure that I only have limited items with the same design. I want each design to be unique. I'm looking at fashion magazines to widen my creativity. I'll give you guys update once I created my online shop.

I love the rain. And I really enjoy walking in the rain. I mean if I'm not bound to worked and the rain is pouring hard, then I will really enjoy the cold rain touching my skin. For the past few days it was raining cats and dogs. And yeah for a while I am enjoying it because I am able to sleep big time because it's really cold. But I hate it when I have to wake up and go to work. I felt that my bed is pulling me back to dream land. And there were heavy traffics and floods all over the Metro not to mention the burden of washing and drying our clothes. Hay! And yesterday morning when I went home and saw the sun shining I was really happy! Hehe! Finally the sun was showing up! The sun really brighthens up my day. =)

Adding to the burden of the worldwide recession & economic crisis is a health problem that affects the entire nation. Influenza Type A (H1N1) is now spreading very fast to different countries. A lot were already affected by the disease that all started in Mexico and there are some who's life was taken by this dreaded flu. I think its was 2 weeks ago when H1N1 spread in the Philippines. Of course everyone was paranoid but unlike SARS, H1N1 can be cured. I have an article taken from the net to further explain this disease.

Weekend At Puerto Galera

Last weekend I went to Puerto Galera. It's my second time to visit this place but I was still amazed by the beauty of this island. I started traveling at around 10:30 P.M. last Friday. The bus going to Batangas pier left at around 12:20 A.M. By 3:20 A.M. I was already in Batangas pier waiting for a ferry boat going to Galera. The boat left at around 6:30 A.M. It was the first trip. In the middle of our journey, I felt the big waves of the ocean. It was really different from my first ferry boat ride. We arrived safely at the shore of Puerto exactly 8:00 A.M. The first thing I did was to find a place where I can stay. After that, I had chicken curry for my breakfast. At around 1:30 P.M. I went island hoping. I also did snorkeling. It was amazing! I never imagined that life under water is that magnificent. It's really breathtaking and a must see for everyone. The corals are full of life and hundreds of different marine creatures can be found under the sea. Imagine a life size aquarium, lovely isn't it? I even had the chance to feed the fishes. I'm not really a good swimmer and I admit that I was hesitant to jump out of the boat. But with my life vest on and the tour guide who was giving me some sort of moral support, I was convinced that I need to try this activity. When I jump into the water, there was still a part of me that was feeling weak and really afraid. But when I got to see the life under water, I didn't want to go back to the boat. I wanted to live with the fishes if only I could. It was a refreshing sight. It was so relaxing. After that we went island hoping. I had merienda around 4:30 P.M. Chicken kebab and salted eggs with tomatoes plus buko juice made it a yummy afternoon. I felt so tired after that so slept until 1:00 A.M. Then at around 2:00 A.m, I had my dinner. Pork kebab for dinner plus night life at Puerto. The next morning I decided to have henna tattoo. The design is a rosary and it's on my right foot. After that I went kayaking. It was very tiring but yeah, I did enjoy this water activity. The waves were getting stronger though so what I did was to stay near the shore. I had my last lunch in Puerto at around 2:30 P.M. Then the ferry boat started to sail going to Batangas at exactly 3:30 P.M. People got paranoid and started getting life vest as soon as they got into the ferry boat. A different scenario because before, life vest were just stored inside the boat, but now it's within our reach. Just to give you an insight why we got crazy over getting a life vest, the day we went to Puerto, a ferry boat had an accident at the middle of the ocean, I think there were 12 casualties, most of them were children. From the investigation they found out that the boat was overloaded. So there, that was the cause of our panic attack. We arrived safely at Batangas pier approximately 6:00 P.M. It was a super happy weekend for me and I felt thankful that we arrived safely.

I was having second thoughts of getting a contact lens because my left eye got irritated when I wore contacts 3 or 4 years ago. My friends would always asked me to get a pair of contact lens because I look better daw wihout my glasses. And finally last week I was able to buy one na. It's color gray and it's really nice! Although I'm still more comfortable with my glasses but I'm so happy that finally I don't have my glasses on. There are some outfits that I can't wear because they don't go well with my glasses. No w I can wear what I want, meaning my fashion choices are endless. I'ts nice to see the world wihout those weird looking glasses It's nice to see the real world!

It was almost a year when I had a seminar for a real estate company. Most of the people are on their 40's or 50's so yeah I was a having a hard time forming a group. Good thing that I met Vanessa. She's a nursing student and she's really a sweetheart! I wasn't able to sell any condo unit for that matter but I was able to gain a friend in her and that alone is a gem that I can keep for life. We went out last week and we have a lot of catching up to do. We're planning our gimmick to watch a live band soon. I'm keeping my fingers crossed...

Having a long, strong & pretty nails has always been my frustration. I can't seem to grow my nails that long because it always break. For the past few weeks I have been addicted to red nail polish, a color that is not really my type but yeah they look good on my nails. I also have a new addiction...nail art! Wow! I never thought that it can look good even with my small nails. I'll get a new design next week. And have you heard of Del Sol nail polish? It's a U.S. brand and the cool thing about it is that it changes color when you go outdoors. Mine is white & when you step out of the sun it turns into hot PINK. I'm so amazed. I'm trying to look for that brand but I think don't have it here in Pinas.*Sigh... Vanity strikes again...hehe!

I love books! When I learned that MV Dulos was here I was really happy. I went there last week. There are a lot of books mostly children books. The books are way cheaper compared to the bookstore. I really wanted to bring something home but there are a lot of people. Anyway I find Dulos amazing not just because it is the largest floating book fair but because through their books they were able to spread knowledge all over the world. I hope that they continue their mission to at least share knowledge to the little ones.

Going Gaga Over Parokya

I really love bands!I have a passion for OPM bands & I'm so proud that there are a lot of talented Filipino musicians. Last week we went to 70's bistro to watch Parokya Ni Edgar. I'm a big fan of PNE. I love there songs & I so love Chito Miranda! It was jam packed. Parokya gained there popularity in the late 90's & I wonder how they were able to sustain the same spirit & why their fans never got tired of them. It was a super nice performance! It's like a typical inuman session, with the band members drinking & smoking while performing. I love Chito! I was sitting on the floor next to the stage. I actually wanted to have my picture taken with him. When it was my turn to have a kodak moment with him, I felt shy. I told him, "hindi na lang ako magpapapicture sa'yo kasi nahihiya ako". He was approachable & really down to earth. Maybe that's their secret, talent + good attitude=success. Acel (former vocalist of Moonstar88) also performed that night. And as expected the crowd got crazy when she sang the monster hit "Torete".

Night life won't be complete without beer drinking session.Don't get me wrong...I'm not trying to sound like an alcoholic here. Actually I'm a bit late bloomer for this kind of thingy,having my first taste of beer at the age of 25. San Miguel Pale Pilsen
For many people,Pale Pilsen is the beer that has a perfect taste.It's not too strong & not too light. They say that older people used to love this beer.

Happy new year everyone! I wasn't able to welcome 2009 with a bang because I was asleep while everyone was jumping & screaming as they say goodbye to 2008 and as they welcome 2009. Yeah too lazy to open the year. For 2009 of course I wish that it would be a better year. I wish to have more friends, real friends I mean. I also want to engage in a new hobby. I so wanted to learn how to cook so maybe that will be something that might keep me busy. I had my first pet dog when I was in elementary. He was named Bugs because Bugs Bunny was my favorite cartoon character then. When my dog died, I promised to myself not to have a pet dog again. Then came Sebastian which is a lobster (yes I know a lobster is too weird to be a pet but yeah! he was my pet for a while. When I lost Sebastian, I never had any pet again.

There are a lot of cute puppies but I never really have the interest to get a new pet. But when I saw these cuties, I wanted to take them home. Everytime I passed by Tiendesitas pet village, I always looked for a Shih Tzu. And hopefully someday I can afford to have even just one super cute Shih Tzu. They are very expensive not to mention their food and grooming are also pricey. But how can you say no to these adorable babies?

Carbonara Or Spaghetty?

I really love carbonara! But sometimes I crave for spaghetty. So which do you really prefer, red or white sauced pasta? Well if you can't decide then try this simple recipe. It's actually a red & white pasta in one dish.

Ingredients:
-200 grams fettuccine (any noodles will do)
-2 pcs. Italian sausage (you can also use hotdog, sausage, bacon , ham or chicken)
-1 glove garlic
-1/2 cup chopped onions
-1 can diced tomatoes
-1/2 cup all purpose cream
-1/4 tsp. salt
-cheese

Procedure:
-cook noodles according to package direction
-fry the sausage, set aside
-saute garlic & onions
-add in tomatoes
-toss in pasta & sausage
-garnish with lots of cheese

I really love this recipe. It's very simple & super yummy! Try it guys! Enjoy cooking & happy eating!

Places I Wanted To Visit

Places I wanted To Visit
I love to travel! And if money is not the problem here are the places that I wanted to see at least before I die.

First is Paris (who doesn't want to visit Paris?). I really wanted to see the Eiffel tower and have my picture taken there. Whenever I think of a romantic place, Paris is always on top of my list.It's super romantic especially if you are travelling with your special someone. Awww!

I have always been amazed with the pyramids of Egypt. I felt that this country is so blessed to have their pyramids preserved.

I also want to visit Cambodia to see Ankhor Wat. I know that this country was not blessed with a good economy but they are indeed rich when it comes to culture. A week or two would be enough for me to have a taste of their culture.

I also wish to visit Tokyo, Japan. Aside from the hi-tech gadgets that they have, I also want to experience the japanese culture. I want to ride in a bullet train, learn the art of
of folding papers (Origami), to try dressing up in Kimono (Japan's national costume), and to try authentic japanese foods like maki, tempura, miso soup and green tea.

I also love to see the busy streets of New York. I wish I can go shopping here. Of course I'll have my picture taken with statue of Liberty on my back draft.

ON MY OWN

Living on my own has a lot of perks but it also has its down side. Paying for the rent & spending for my meals made me feel all grown up.I felt that I am now in total control of my life. I am happy that I was able to survive on my own. But I really miss my brother Peter. I'm used to living alone but there were times when I wished that I'm sharing the wonderful things I had with my brother.

I don't know where my decision will lead me but I know that in the end, it will make me tougher & smarter. For now I will have to trust Him that something good will soon come to me.

During our family reunion, I'm always excited to go to my grandparents' house. I'm sure that most of my relatives will agree with me when I say that "Lolo's kaldereta" is the best! Super sarap ng mga luto ni lolo specially yung kaldereta at kahit sauce lang pwede ng ulamin. Lolo's kaldereta will always remind me with the good all days I had with my relatives. And it will always remind me of the time when Lolo was still strong. Sobrang maalaga siya sa mga bisita. When you taste his dishes, you'll know that the one who prepared the meal really has passion for cooking. Hay! Na miss ko yung KALDERETA ni lolo...
